|Hi, my name is Nao Tomii and I am the owner and builder of Tomii Cycles in Woburn, MA USA. I was born and raised in Japan and since childhood I have always loved to draw anything that has wheels, bikes, motorcycles and cars.
I came to the United States to study at the Art College and graduated in 2000. After graduation I worked for 12 years as a sculptor at Skylight Studio with an emphasis on sculpting, crafting molds, restorations and casting. During this time I also created my own pieces that have featured in galleries in Boston area.
In 2006 I started to take cycling seriously and connected with many local riders, some of which were frame builders. The artistic beauty of their hand-made, custom-built frames inspired me to create chain rings under the brand 3RRR Products. This ultimately fueled my desire to build custom bicycle frames myself. My comfort grew and eventually frame building became my sculptures.
A sculpture that can be appreciated both aesthetically and functionally as a bicycle. Sculptures that I can custom build as a beautiful bicycle for my customers.
I would like to especially thank my family, Ian Sutton and all the bicycle frame builders and shops in the area, all those who have made this dream possible for me.
